Halo: Reach Noble Map Pack Announced

Microsoft announced the Noble Map Pack will arrive on Xbox Live starting November 30, 2010. The pack includes three all-new multiplayer maps, Anchor 9, Tempest, and Breakpoint. Additional achievements totaling 250 gamerscore points are also being added.

The pack will cost 800 Microsoft Points ($10).

Here's a detailed list of the maps per Microsoft:

Tempest – "Though we may never fully understand these devices, it is not our nature to leave ancient stones unturned." This abandoned shoreline facility bends both sea and sky to an unnatural purpose, but the ground itself has quickly become another all too familiar battlefield. Though the two opposing symmetrical bases may never reveal their ancient purpose, both now offer makeshift shelter and access to strategic routes perfectly suited for small and large scale skirmishes alike. Tempest supports 8 – 16 players and offers a variety of modes including Free for All, Team Slayer, Team Objective and Big Team Battle. Tempest also provides players with a huge Forge palette, allowing them to create new custom map variants that can be shared with the community-at-large.

Tempest

Anchor 9 – "Orbital dockyards provide rapid refueling and repairs for a variety of UNSC vessels." Within the confines of this low orbit dry-dock, UNSC craft undergo rapid repair and rearmament in support of the enduring war effort. But for the small squads of infantry who now fight over the mirrored interior hallways and open central hangar bay, this platform no longer provides any safe harbor – whether the close quarters combat is occurring inside or out of its artificial gravitational field. Anchor 9 allows 2-8 players to face off in game variants including Free for All, Team Slayer and Team Objective.

Anchor 9

Breakpoint – "ONI officials believe the data buried within this artifact is key to our survival." Atop this icy precipice, the Invasion continues. These modular archaeological labs were never intended to withstand such a large scale onslaught of Covenant military power, but the information being extracted here may prove vital to humanity's survival. In response to the imminent Covenant threat, UNSC ground and air assets have been deployed to bolster entrenched Spartan countermeasures. This dig site must yield salvation, or it will become a grave. Breakpoint offers multiplayer mayhem for 8-16 players, and supports the Invasion and Big Team Battle game variants.

Bungie Drops Hint at Post-Halo Game

There was no way around it. Sometime at Joseph Staten's talk this morning at GDC Online, titled "Writing the Whirlwind," somebody would ask a question about Bungie's next project. Bungie's writer and design director knew it was coming, too, and had already warned the audience at the beginning of the session that he wouldn't say word one about the developer's plans for its first post-Halo game.

But Staten just couldn't help himself.

After lamenting that Bungie spent ten years creating a mega-universe that players only experienced for six to eight hours at a time (he's only talking about the single-player campaign here, of course), he dropped this wonderfully cryptic springboard for debate: "Wouldn't it be great if we could make a world that was always there for you?"

So, what does that mean? It sounds like Bungie wants to make sure that after it does the heavy lifting with world building, the player then gets the keys to the proverbial kingdom. Could this be a persistent universe without a set beginning and end, where players control the course of the narrative rather than following a set story with a three act structure? Staten offered nothing else, but it was enough to set the speculation machine in motion.

The Best And Worst Of THe Halo Maps

We all know that maps make the multiplayer experience and most Halo fans would concur with me that Halo 2 had the best multiplayer experience because of the quality maps available for gameplay. If you have great maps in a game, then everything is more enjoyable and the action is non-stop!! We all remember Headlong, Valhalla, And Sanctuary and the awesome moments that we shared with our friends on  those maps. Then we frown at the maps Epitaph, Snowbound, And Backwash because of their cheap design or outlandish design. So , what makes a good map. A good map has to have two bases; one for each team, it has to have strategic weapon spawns that bring out the battle from the beginning, and they have to evoke open, combative game play that has certain characteristics fitting for team play. Well, for starters I give you the worst maps of Halo Through Halo 3 and then move on to categorizing the new maps of Halo Reach.

'Halo: Reach' To Add Campaign Matchmaking

Halo Reach Wil Include The Optin For Campign In Matchmaking

Halo Reach Sniping Level

Halo Reach Has Interesting Shades For The Campaign

You won't Get Tired Of THis Installment

Bungie's community content writer Eric Osborne said that the feature was held back so that players would not spoil the story by playing missions out of order.

"The main reason for its omission is simple: we don't want your very first experience in campaign to occur on the very last level," he said.

"Like all our matchmaking playlists, Campaign Matchmaking will offer all players in the party a vote as to which mission they'll end up tackling together.

"Democracy is totally sweet, but in this case, the majority might overrule your No Spoilers Doctrine."

The October update will also add bug fixes, balance issues, new game types and additional Forge maps.

Halo: Reach was released last week for Xbox 360.

Halo: Reach Pirates Will Pe Permabanned, Says Microsoft

Halo Reach Launches In 3 Weeks

Halo Reach Is Going To Be Explosive!
We all have some friends or a Friend that knows a friend that knows a friend that have reportedly seen  another player playing Halo Reach by looking at their service record and seeing that a player has achieved some of the Halo Reach achievements. You're first thought is what, then you get an anxious -jealous feeling and think to yourself, I want this jerk banned. Well, Bungie has done just so, even if the leaked downloads was the fault of Microsoft. Guys, did you think that the gaming community wouldn't catch you? C'mon some of these gamers live to harass, ridicule, or judge other gamers either wrongly or in good ways. I really think that these over-zealous geeks got what they deserved and god riddance to people who have the wit to do that anyway, they could be ex-hackers or something. Well, here's the elongated explanation of the hoax that never was.

Gamers who have decided to forgo the 3-week wait and download illegitimate copies of Halo: Reach will suffer some less than pleasant consequences.

A group of modders managed to nab the entire build from Xbox Live without paying the steep price of 99999 MS Points ($1250). While the group said it had no intention of releasing the hacked build to the public, it inevitably ended up on file-sharing sites where many anxious gamers have purportedly snatched the opportunity to play Halo: Reach early.

Unfortunately for them, Microsoft is tracking these pirates down and slamming them with a permanent ban from Xbox Live, according to a policy document obtained by MaxConsole. The “Notification of Permanent Suspension” cites “prerelease title play” as the cause for the ban, stating that players will never be able to connect to Xbox Live again. Microsoft has yet to say whether they will ban the GamerTag or the Xbox 360.

When GameSpot reached out for comment, Microsoft released the following statement:

“Microsoft’s commitment to combat piracy and support safer and more secure gameplay for the 25 million members of the Xbox Live community remains a top priority. All consumers should know that piracy is illegal, violates the Xbox Live terms of use, and will void their warranty and result in a ban from Xbox Live.”

Microsoft’s director of policy and enforcement for Xbox Live, Stephen Toulouse, said on Twitter:

“As with all unauthorized play on Xbox Live, anyone playing any unauthorized title runs the risk of account permaban and console. Remember, legit store bought copy runs no risk of ban. Key word: UNAUTHORIZED. We have ways of knowing.

Halo Reach "The Most Anticipated Game Of 2010" has definitely lived up to the hype. People are so desperate to get a copy that they are willing to risk their reputation and online play ability, that's never been heard of in past game releases. People are anxious, desperate, excited, enthralled, and kooky about getting their copy of Halo Reach because of the cool elements, gametypes, plot, story, weapons, maps, and changes that have brought on a more fair and tailor made gaming experience. We all know that after these last three weeks that Halo will no longer be Halo but some synthesized version of a 1st person shooter and RPG. The versatility and explosive game play of this game is going to revolt Halo's legacy and eternal the series that was. Gamers have to get used to a whole new way of gaming, not by just what you do in the game, but how you prepare ; choosing your loadouts, armor, and Personnel, and how fast you can think in a game situation where it calls for a certain strategy or loadout ability to overcome your opponent. Gaming will be a lot more cerebral and no longer will there be  a boring repetitiveness about it. No, Halo has taken the best out of a RPG and combined that with awesome graphics, killer weapons and vehicles, ingenious maps, creative gametypes, and has tried to appeal to gamers with more fair and explosive gameplay. This is an equation for the best game of the year , and perhaps of the next five years. So, don't be cheap and get your below at the two best selling locations: Microsoft [Free Shipping = Good deal] Or Amazon where thereafter your purchase of Halo Reach you will automatically receive a $20.00 amazon gift card or credit guaranteed and also free shipping.
