In the game, you meet Noble Team and for the first time, players will fight alongside a squad of iconic Spartan soldiers. Each one with deadly talents as unique as their individual personalities and customized gear. It is an intense campaign that lets you live the events that set the stage for the Halo trilogy as the UNSC and Covenant clash at the height of their military power. Halo Reach takes a massive leap forward through all-new engine technology designed to take full advantage of next-generation graphics, audio, special effects, AI and animation. This game is the definitive multiplayer experience. It builds on the success of its predecessors, setting a new standard for competitive gameplay, customization, variety, and community integration. There is no question this is a great game. The only question left is why you have not bought it yet. It would make a great gift also.

Halo Reach Midnight Release Madness
Halo Reach Is Here |
Halo Reach Officially Launched Midnight On September 14, 2010 |
With Halo Reach now launched we can look back and say thank you to Halo 3. Halo 3 Sold over 650 million copies worldwide and was the most popular game ever, as far as sale numbers. No more four shots, Squad Battle, or cheap graphics; no where entering a more sleek, advanced era of gaming starting with Halo Reach. The Graphics in Halo Reach blow away Halo 3's specs and I'm so excited about all of the different things you can do in Reach that Halo 3 never had. In Halo Reach you can do a multitude of things: Arena play [Double and solo] , firefight[ team or solo], objective gametypes [one flag/bomb, CTF, Slayer, Team Slayer, Generator Defense, Invasion, Stockpile, Headhunter, and the New Wild-card Team Attack. Halo Reach is going to be everything that Halo 3 is , only multiplied the intensity, enjoyment, versatility, and vision [graphics] by four. If you have a Xbox 360 and haven't purchased this game then you don't know what a good game is!!
Call Of Duty Black Ops Will have the usual COD enticements but it won't come close to Halo Reach in the categories of intensity, versatility, multitude, and overall quality. I am so excited to get playing Halo Reach, but first I have to take care of a few things [Work, Kids]. So, here's a list of what you should do when you Receive your copy of Halo Reach.
- Get your friends and start up the Co-op Campaign in Matchmaking [in this case up to 4 players]
- Grab a bible or cross and pray to the heavens in grace [do a Albert Pujols]
- Determine whether you want embark into Halo Reach as an Elite Or Spartan
- Stock Up on ice cream, pre-baked pizzas, diet pop, and Aspirin [trust me this is a no fail equation for bulk gaming]
- Make sure the level of noise on your alarm clock is at maximum [ you'll be having a gamers hangover]
- Pay all of your bills and take care of your work [call in sick or take a few days off]
- Tell your non gamer friends that you'll be real busy for the next few days [you won't want to be caught playing Halo Reach with garbage littered all over your room and your shirt full of pizza sauce]
- Take A few rags to your room and place them by your bedside [you don't want to ruin your Halo Reach disc or Controllers]
- Set the mood in your gaming area: The lights on or off, showered or not showered, room clean and cool, light sweats and a shirt or shorts and a T-shirt, and your home gamer optimized
- Try the firefight mode [it supposed to be the most hyped gametype of them all]
- Don't watch anymore You-tube Videos Because They Can Ruin The Ending On Halo Reach
- Decide what type of gamer and reputation are you going to form in
- Halo Reach [Sniper, Marksman, Aggressive tactician, Vehicle specialist, Mr. Stealth, Or A combination
- What is your forte and match it to what Halo Reach game-type is Apt for it [Good Sniper-- Objective games, DMR Or Tactician ---Slayer Or Invasion, Or Hardcore Gamer--Team Arena Or Solo Arena.
- Set up your gamer Dashboard and Bio [Just give your friends and other gamers a reason why you're the best to team up with]
- Finally, Get pumped and Start Playing The Most Revolutionary, Bombastic, Hyped , And Explosive Game of 2010!![ Start taking that Aspirin....]

Halo: Reach Review
Halo Reach Launches In 1 Day At The Stroke Of Midnight |
Halo means so much to so many people. This is not extraordinary in the culture of video games. What's exceptional is how many different things it means to those players. For me Halo has always been a social experience, with lifelong friendships forged over a shared love of the game. Some hop online to randomly test their merit in competitive matches. Others find themselves lost in the fiction, playing through the campaign alone and then poring over the extended story in books and anime. Still others look to Halo for a creative outlet as level forgers or machinima producers. This range in how we play Halo is a testament to how feature-rich development studio Bungie has made the franchise, and Halo: Reach is the ultimate punctuation on a decade's work.
This is the end of the Halo road for Bungie -- the group is set to move on to a new original game next while Microsoft takes over responsibility for the franchise's future -- and that sense of this being a finale is in Halo: Reach. It shows clear reference to past games, refines well-established game mechanics, adds a few exciting twists, and polishes the rest to a glossy finish. The result is one of the most complete, fully-featured packages you'll find in gaming.
Little here will surprise the hardcore Halo fan, especially if they were among the millions that took part in the multiplayer beta earlier this year. The approach to making a first-person shooter remains the same as it has in the past for Halo. There's a co-op friendly campaign filled with the dreaded Covenant aliens, sparkling online competitive multiplayer, the four-player Firefight mode, and lots of flexibility to allow everyone to tweak settings to their liking. If you've played a Halo game in the past, you'll feel instantly at home.
That's not to say this is just another rehash. There's plenty of new and exciting content in Halo: Reach and it begins with the main character. Master Chief is out. This time you'll step into the shoes of Noble 6, a nameless hero for players to project themselves onto. Noble 6 doesn't even have a defined gender. Thanks to a deep new customization system, you're free to fit Noble 6's look to your personality.
Noble 6's tale begins with an introduction to Planet Reach. This colony is the center of humanity's military might, and home to the Spartan program that produced Master Chief himself. The events of Halo: Reach take place as a prequel to the main Halo trilogy and -- though they take small liberties with the established fiction -- help to tell the story of the events that lead up to events of Halos 1 through 3. The war with the Covenant is already raging, and things don't look good for us humans.
Noble 6 is the rookie member of Noble Team, a squad of Spartans stationed on Reach. You'll get to know each of the other team members through the course of Halo: Reach as you work with them to complete various missions, but the action always follows Noble 6's adventure.
The whole shebang will last you about nine or ten hours on your first play through on the Heroic difficulty (less if you're real good and more if you aren't). During that time you'll find a lot of tried and true mainstays of the Halo formula. That means plenty of big battlefields, crazy vehicles, lots of aliens to fight, and tons of weapons to help make the Covenant pay. Though past Halo games were filled with repetitive landscapes and circuitous, difficult to follow plots, Halo: Reach does not suffer from these problems.
This is the most straightforward and enjoyable tale of destruction the franchise has yet to produce. And don't worry if you haven't played the other Halo games yet – though Reach will feel a lot deeper and more compelling to longtime Halo fans, it can stand on its own as a self-contained story. The tale starts out simple enough, but it quickly escalates to stunning set pieces before pulling out all the stops. The last third of the game is just one big thrill ride, and the revelations that occur during that part of the game are sure to make any Halo buff go ballistic. The ending in particular left a huge impression on me. I don't want to spoil anything, but just know that the space combat Bungie used to tease Halo: Reach is only the beginning.
Now, though the Halo formula is intact and there are plenty of wink-and-a-nod references to past games, Reach is a big step forward. Little successful elements of old Halo games are sprinkled here or there while a new found sensibility in level design and pacing is wrapped around the core. The action is always moving through one combat scenario to the next, with plenty of gameplay and scenario twists to keep things fresh.
The best new addition? Armor abilities. These are an evolution of the equipment found in Halo 3 and drastically change the way you play in their updated form. These temporary but reusable extra abilities add things like sprinting, jet packs, and invincible armor to the franchise for the first time. The result is a faster, more acrobatic game that affords the player more flexibility in how they'd like to approach each fight. Also, jet packs are awesome. How did we go without them this long?
That sense of immersion is helped along quite a bit by the amazing audio work and the new graphics engine built for Halo: Reach. Marty O'Donnell, the lead sound guy at Bungie, has once again delivered an epic soundtrack that is so good that it elevates the entire game. That's no small feat.
While that music pummels your ear drums, your eyes get to feast on one gorgeous looking game. The alien vistas and color palette are striking, and the sense of scale is oftentimes off the charts. You're fighting amidst a war that rages across an entire planet, and Bungie doesn't let you forget it. Even so, there are times when the epic battles don't quite feel so incredible thanks to a lack of detail or the occasional frame rate stutter while the engine can't keep up with what's happening.
It's difficult to separate out the core components of Halo: Reach because they all sort of blend together into one massive experience. The campaign can be played alone or with up to four-players on a split-screen or online. Likewise, you can play the Firefight mode, a single map test of skill and endurance against waves of Covenant enemies, with a few friends cooperatively. All of those great additions that made it into the campaign? Well they're here too. This mode was introduced in Halo 3: ODST, but has finally met its promise thanks to online matchmaking and a more robust set of options. One of which is a competitive versus mode where you can compete for points while one or more players take up the side of the Covenant.
Or you can just go all out in a fight against other players by joining the competitive online multiplayer game. Like Firefight, the core concept remains the same as past Halo games while new features, weapons and modes have been added. Armor abilities and tweaked physics make the game that millions have poured hours and hours into feel fresh once again. It doesn't hurt that the new modes like Headhunter and Invasion are a ton of fun. The format is warmly familiar, but it all feels so new after digging into the competitive game and learning new tricks and skills.
Wrapped around all of this is an addition that Bungie calls player investment. Everything you do -- be it play the campaign or complete an online match -- earns you credits. Rack up enough and you can unlock customization features to make your Noble 6 look elite, and that look carries through all modes in the game -- even cut scenes. Don't be surprised if you find a goofy, pink-and-blue Noble 6 invading your game like IGN editor-in-chief Hilary Goldstein did. If you make your character look dumb, it's your own fault.
Likewise, Xbox Live members can take part in daily or weekly challenges created by Bungie with an eye towards compelling players to come back again and again to prove their skills. This, for me, is the kicker. I don't think I'm going to be able to stop logging on every few days for a new challenge, followed by a little message to a friend taunting them about how I did it faster.
The one aspect of Halo: Reach I found lacking was in the multiplayer map selection. There are 13 total for competitive games, but four of those are either direct copies or retreads of maps from past Halo games. Everything plays quite differently with all of the gameplay tweaks, but I can already see myself looking forward to the first map pack. It's tough to complain about a lack of content in such a feature rich game, but I was left hoping for more.
That issue is mitigated to some extent by the incredible amount of flexibility built into Halo: Reach. The Forge, where players can lightly edit the competitive maps, is back and now much more user friendly. Most won't take advantage of that tool, but they will benefit from the new map and game variants that the hardcore create and share with the community.
It's also incredibly simple to just hop in and edit the rules of the game, both for Firefight and in normal multiplayer games. You can tweak everything from which enemies you face in Firefight to how much damage weapons do, and a whole lot more. Think of a crazy game variant -- even one that doesn't have anything to do with shooting -- and you can probably make it and share it with your friends in Halo: Reach. The whole system is incredibly powerful and equally impressive. The only downer is that there is no way to search for a custom game. If a game type isn't in the predetermined matchmaking hoppers and you don't have friends online, you're out of luck.
All told, the multiplayer suite is one of the best ever. The Halo multiplayer game has been expanding since the early days of the original Xbox, and now it's hit a point where the amount of , flexibility, number of modes, and potential for fun is just out of this world. Very few other games can compete with this level of polish, presentation, and attention to detail. And just when you think you've seen it all, don't forget to hop on to bungie.net to find extra stats, shared in-game screenshots and movies, and a vibrant community ready to help you extend the life of your game for months and months.

Halo: Reach is a fantastic package, with several core components that on their own can outclass many other games. The campaign is excellent, backed by solid storytelling and a powerful audio-visual experience. The competitive multiplayer is familiar, yet brand new with a lot more options and a faster pacing. And the cooperative Firefight arcade mode has finally met its potential. Whether you like playing with friends like me or you're more of a lone wolf, Halo: Reach has evolved to the point where it'll make everyone happy. It's a fitting end to Bungie's involvement with the franchise, one that both references the past and injects new life into a tried and true formula. Newcomers and Halo fans alike will find plenty to love in Halo: Reach. Even if you've grown tired of the Halo formula through the years, I'd still recommend this game to you. It's just that good.

The astute observer may note that the pair of Arena playlists aren’t set to go live when the clock strikes midnight. In the interest of fairness, we’ve decided that the inaugural season won’t begin until 11am PDT on 09/14. If you fancy yourself the competitive type, take the extra lead time to get the lead out in some of the other playlists.
And of course, just like our previous Xbox LIVE outings; these are merely the day one sets. We can and will change things up to keep the experience fresh. If there are a few obvious omissions that you expected to be on hand immediately, you’ll likely find them online at a later date. Launch demands we keep things nice and tight until we confirm that the initial population explosion won’t sink the whole ship in one shot.
And while we’re on the subject of previous Halo titles and playlist updates, I should clear up a few misconceptions that I’m seeing circulating in the community regarding Halo 3.
Contrary to my own ill-spoken words, Jeremiah informs me that our Double EXP playlists for Halo 3 aren’t going to be culled straight away (though they won’t be a permanent fixture in the Halo: Reach aftermath). We are, however, planning on cutting some fat, leaving only the succulent bits of the Halo 3 online experience behind for those opting to stick around and suck every last bit of the marrow as the majority migrates to the new hotness.
Presently, that means Squad Battle and Basic Training are no more and that you should steel yourselves for more cuts in the weeks and months ahead. Don’t worry though; we’ll make sure we always support game types and maps required for earning your Halo 3 ‘chievos. We expect plenty of people to keep on keepin’ on and we’ll do our best to make sure the online experience remains nice and solid.
Back on the Halo: Reach front, Sketch has a few words to offer on the security tip.
"Dearest Fans – After years of waiting, Reach is finally nearly upon us. Some of you may even already be playing, courtesy of an eager retail store that couldn’t wait until next Tuesday. But for the vast majority of you, we still have a few official days left and you’re patiently waiting, finger on the trigger.
Here at Bungie, we’re patiently waiting as well, but our finger is on a different trigger. Our team is standing at the ready behind the sights of our fully operational Banhammer Battlestation. We take the Reach online experience VERY seriously. Bungie has invested years of hard work creating a game that we want our fans to enjoy for years to come and we have zero tolerance for people who try and ruin that experience for others. The Xbox LIVE team also takes these matters very seriously and they too are aggressively taking action as needed. Modifying your console or the game itself is a violation of the terms of use for LIVE and Reach and will result in potentially severe penalties.
We are already aware of a number of nefarious deeds by a very small percentage of early adopters and we have already been taking action. We expect that a few more will turn up once the population explodes on September 14th. We will be ready, watching, waiting, firing at will on people who deserve it. We have all sorts of new fancy tools at our disposal now and as we start to come up to full speed we’ll be engaging all of them. Voice bans, host bans, console bans, gamertag bans, credit bans and the automatic habitual quitter penalty are but a few of our sharply honed weapons hungering for blood.
Please note that you may not always see immediate results. Sometimes it takes a little while, other times we elect to wait and gather data as to be 100% certain we’re not overreacting to false positive data. And still other times we may decide to escalate it to the security team at Xbox LIVE for an even greater ass-kicking. Rest assured though that Bungie is watching and we know who you are and what you’re doing.
To all of our fans who have been such big supporters of Bungie
(Tyson also dropped by and wanted us to inform everyone that the Credit wipe we told you about last week has been initiated and that if you've gotten a hold of a legitimate, legally obtained copy of Halo: Reach, please feel free to fire it up and play.)
If I obtain anymore sneak peeks to Halo Reach for you fiery gamers in the few days until Halo Reach Launches I Will post it, but don't worry I won't ruin any of the campaign story or anything else that is so delicate in Halo Reach fan's fantasies. Instead, I will share the excitement with you and continue to feed yout the number one news surrounding Halo Reach and awesome preorder deals, tips, and sneak peeks. 10 Pre-launch Halo: Reach Facts You Need To Know

Everything you need to know about Halo: Reach ahead of next week's launch.
Halo: Reach is out on Tuesday and to be honest, we can’t wait to get stuck right into the campaign, the insanely customisable multiplayer and the Forge World creation kit. It may feel like a long wait for gamers who have watched development of Halo: Reach trundle along these past few years, but we can confidently say that the wait has been worth it, as it’s the most impressive Halo game we’ve played to date.
Best Halo yet? We'll say yes, definitely
“It's the most impressive Halo game we've played to date.”
10. Meet Noble Team
The feeling of invincibility in the green boots of Master Chief never quite sat right with us throughout the series. Legendary was no cakewalk sure, but on solo runs through lesser difficulty settings, we felt way too powerful. The members of Noble team are Spartan III’s meaning they are less powerful and prone to dying easier. The player controls Noble Six, while the other members each offer various support methods. Jun’s sniping is a treat in the game’s stealthier moments, Emile is simply a no-nonsense hard case, while Cat and Carter both offer up oodles of personality. Our pick is Jorge, simply because he has a minigun that would make Bill Duke in Predator blush and the fact he can stand on top of civilian vehicles, essentially turning them into makeshift Warthogs. Noble Team really is a force to be reckoned with and they stand as some of the Halo series’ best characters yet.
Sorry Bill, there's a new sheriff in town
9. Skulls 2.0
The subject of Halo FAQ guides everywhere, the elusive skull pick-ups are back in Halo: Reach, although this time they are customisable in multiplayer. It’s simply a genius move from Bungie, blowing Halo: Reach’s customisation wide open. You can now set up a game of Firefight and set the intervals skulls come into play and how they affect combat. For example, you can make enemies return fire more frequency, double their speed and quadruple their health if you wanted to. But only if you’re a glutton for punishment of course.8. Firefight: Combat Evolved
Firefight was the jewel in Halo 3: ODST’s otherwise honky crown. The game didn’t match the thrills of the core series, but we did enjoy feeling vulnerable as a very human, very weak human character. Campaign aside, Firefight offered hours of fun and in Halo: Reach, it’s back with a vengeance. There are so many Firefight variants on offer, including generator defence, which tasks teams with protecting objective points against waves of Covenant. Rocketfight gives players unlimited rocket launcher ammo, while Gruntocalypse pits the team against massive waves of Grunts with too many grenades to count. The best option by far is to split the team into two Spartans and two Elites and have them face off with a horde of low-level Covenant swarming in from all sides. It’s just insanely fun.7. Smart Cookie
Shooters lose massive kudos when they have dumb enemies. It’s always been the case and in this respect, Halo: Reach transcends the ranks of shooters with guff AI and delivers a genuine challenge against smart enemies with a ruthless desire to see you dead. Enemies will flank and back-attack without mercy, acting more like online enemy bots you would expect to see in top-tier arena shooters. Our hands on experience with Halo: Reach saw us caught with our pants down several times as Covenant enemies surrounded us unexpectedly. It simply makes the game more tense and much more engaging than previous Halo instalments.6. What A Wonderful World
Halo: Reach is improved over its predecessors in many ways, but it also delivers the most atmospheric take on the universe so far. It’s a tragedy piece, so obviously it’s going to have tension dripping from every pixel. The planet itself tells a great story about how the Spartans were created to quell human insurgents.
Reach is a fantastic game world
5. Open Fire!
The weapon set in Halo: Reach may not have been expanded upon that much since Halo 3, but each weapon has been given a little extra kick and weight, amplifying the gunplay and keeping the multiplayer balancing near-perfect. The best new addition to the gun roster is the Target Locator, a pistol that calls in an insanely powerful mortar strike with a devastating blast radius. Danger close is definitely a factor here as your team-mates in co-op will be toast if they get caught under the blast. Be careful not to lose any friends this way, it’s easily done.4. LittleBigHalo
If Forge was Bungie’s way of dipping its toe into map creation, Forge World is confidently the full plunge. Giving you a full Halo ring world on which to build maps on, the Forge 2.0 toolkit lets you run riot with map creation to create complex, smartly-designed arenas. It’s simple to learn the basics of Forge 2.0, and only gradually harder to master thanks to an overhauled interface and creation methods. Forge World will likely keep Halo: Reach fans playing for years after launch.
Everything's better with jetpacks
3. Mo’ Money Less Problems
Halo: Reach multiplayerCortana and Master Chief himself. Clearly Johnson is the choice of the bad ass. Can we get an extra large stogie with that?2. Armour-Up
Any credits earned in multiplayer can be spent in the armoury and we reckon this expansive toolkit of unlockable armour upgrades and neat collectibles will keep people playing for a very long time. Couple this with an advanced experience system and you have a pretty deep multiplayer component. More than just contributing to bragging rights, experience points actually change the way your character developers this time, adding new purpose to multiplayer.1. Special Move
Armour abilities are real game-changers, helping player boost areas of their skill on a round-per-round basis. First and easily best of all is the jetpack, which adds a new level of verticality into the mix. Getting the drop on enemies is a treat, but you run the risk of leaving yourself totally vulnerable for long runs at a time. We also like the holographic decoy, which sends a clone of your avatar running in a straight line from where you deploy it, drawing heat away from your character. Meanwhile, Active Camo renders you partically invisible, Evade lets you perform dodge rolls, Sprint lets you run like the clappers and Drop Shield offers a temporary healing bubble shield. All in all, it’s a great selection box of skills that shake up the Halo multiplayer formula drastically. So, please pre-order Halo Reach now or you'll be wining when you don't get yours till Thursday. The Preorders At amazon and Microsoft ship the date of release so you'll be playing by the night of September 14. Getting it at midnight release is just a waste of time, gas, money, and gaming. So gamers, preorder your Halo Reach copy below or any other gaming supplies.
